The lesson plans focused on interactive oral hygiene instructions using stuffed-animal models for flossing and brushing exercises, dental arts and crafts to teach nutrition, and – the most popular activity – role-playing dentist and patient by applying their newfound dental-nutrition knowledge.

POINT FORTIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

Provided oral health education and nutritional counseling to three schools, including Point Fortin School for the Blind. Oral hygiene education was achieved through development of a program that focused in auditory and tactile sensation.
